Your Private Catamaran on the Red Sea
There is a fundamental difference between a shared boat excursion and a private catamaran in Hurghada — and that difference is felt from the first moment you step on board. The vessel is yours. The pace is yours. The itinerary, the island, the snorkeling stop, the hours at sea — all adjusted to your group, not to a schedule shared with strangers. For couples, families, or small groups who want exclusivity, comfort, and the kind of Red Sea day that actually feels like an escape, the private catamaran is the right choice.
The catamaran itself is purpose-built for this stretch of the Red Sea — a stable, smooth-sailing twin-hull vessel with nets at the bow for lying close to the water, a shaded salon below deck, and an open deck for sunbathing. Its multi-hull design means it moves quietly through the water with minimal pitch, making it comfortable for all ages including young children and guests who are susceptible to motion sickness. Soft drinks and a fresh fruit platter are served throughout the trip. Snorkeling equipment is provided on board.
Three trip formats are available: Private Catamaran Island — Orange Bay (6 hours, 2–2h30 on Orange Bay, 1h snorkeling, from €300 for 2); Private Catamaran Island — Magawish (6 hours, 2–2h30 on Magawish Island, 1h snorkeling, from €290 for 2); and Private Catamaran Sunset (3 hours, 1 hour on White Island at sunset, from €250 for 2). Additional guests are priced per person. For those combining a Red Sea stay with a Nile itinerary, the catamaran pairs naturally with our Nile Cruise packages or a Luxor private tour.
The Islands
Orange Bay is a small, largely unspoiled island approximately 17 kilometres from Hurghada’s shore, accessible only by boat. Its waters are a turquoise so clear that the seabed is visible at depth, and its white-sand beach is consistently ranked among the finest in Egypt. Travel writers and reviewers have compared it to a Caribbean island and to the Maldives — both references that, once you are there, feel accurate rather than exaggerated.
Magawish Island is a larger, more diverse island to the south, with a long beach, shallow lagoons ideal for snorkeling, and a coral reef immediately offshore. Sea turtles, moray eels, and dense schools of tropical fish are regularly sighted at the snorkeling stops between Hurghada and the island.
White Island, used on the Sunset itinerary, is a sandspit that appears and disappears with the tides — at sunset, the light turns the water copper and gold, and the island effectively glows. For couples in particular, it is one of the most photographically striking locations in the Red Sea.
