7-Day New Year Egypt Tour 2027: Cairo & Nile Cruise
7-Day New Year Egypt Tour 2027 runs from 27 December 2026 to 2 January 2027 and combines Cairo, Giza, Aswan and Luxor with a 3-night Nile Cruise. It is designed for travelers who want to welcome 2027 in Egypt while still covering the country’s classic first-time highlights.
The journey begins in Cairo with the Giza Pyramids, Great Sphinx, Grand Egyptian Museum, Citadel of Saladin, Old Cairo and Khan El Khalili. You then fly to Aswan to begin a Nile Cruise through Kom Ombo and Edfu before reaching Luxor.
Why Choose This New Year Egypt Tour?
- Fixed festive dates: 27 December 2026 – 2 January 2027.
- 3 nights in Cairo before flying south.
- 3-night Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor.
- New Year’s Eve on the Nile: 31 December falls during the Kom Ombo–Edfu cruise program.
- New Year’s Day sightseeing: 1 January 2027 includes Edfu and Luxor’s East Bank.
- Two package levels with different hotel and cruise options.
New Year’s Eve on the Nile
On 31 December 2026, the itinerary includes Kom Ombo and continued sailing toward Edfu. This places New Year’s Eve during the Nile Cruise section of the trip rather than in Cairo. Any gala dinner, live entertainment or special countdown program depends on the confirmed vessel and is not guaranteed unless specifically included in your booking.
For a wider explanation of celebrations, weather and destination choices, see our New Year in Egypt 2027 guide. If your main priority is celebrating on the river, read our New Year Nile Cruise Egypt 2027 guide.
New Year’s Day in Luxor
On 1 January 2027, the program visits Edfu Temple before sailing to Luxor. The day then continues with Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. The final day, 2 January, covers Luxor’s West Bank, including the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut and Colossi of Memnon, before the included flight back to Cairo.
If you plan to remain in Egypt after the tour, our Egypt in January 2027 guide covers weather, crowds and what to wear.
Package A vs Package B
Package A starts from $1,955 per person based on double occupancy, while Package B starts from $2,405 per person. Both packages follow the same sightseeing itinerary; the difference is the listed Cairo hotel and Nile Cruise category.
Entrance fees to the mentioned sightseeing sites are excluded from this 7-day package. Domestic flights from Cairo to Aswan and Luxor to Cairo are included according to the published program.
7-Day or 8-Day New Year Tour?
This 7-day itinerary is ideal for travelers who want a compact Cairo + Nile Cruise holiday. For a longer 4-night Luxor-to-Aswan cruise and a trip that begins on 25 December, compare our 8-Day New Year Egypt Tour 2027.
If you are specifically staying in Cairo for 31 December, our New Year’s Eve in Cairo 2027 guide covers city celebrations, dinner cruises, hotels and transport planning.
Book Early for New Year 2027
Late December and the first days of January are peak travel dates in Egypt. Hotels, Nile Cruise cabins and domestic flights can become limited, especially when travelers have fixed New Year dates.
