Day 1 – 29 July 2027: Arrival in Cairo

The remainder of the day is free for rest and leisure after the flight.

Day 2 – 30 July 2027: Giza Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum

After breakfast at the hotel, begin the Cairo sightseeing programme at the Giza Plateau. Visit the Great Pyramid of King Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure and the Great Sphinx, with free time for photographs and panoramic views across the plateau.

Day 3 – 31 July 2027: Old Cairo, Citadel & Khan El Khalili

Breakfast at the hotel, then begin the day in Old Cairo, exploring the historic district and its important religious and cultural landmarks.

Continue to the Citadel of Saladin and visit the Mohamed Ali Mosque inside the Citadel. Afterwards, head to Khan El Khalili Bazaar for time among the traditional shops, handicrafts, spices, souvenirs and historic market lanes.

Day 4 – 1 August 2027: Cairo to Bahariya Oasis, Black Desert & White Desert Camping

Depart Cairo early in the morning by modern air-conditioned vehicle for Bahariya Oasis. The supplied programme describes the road journey as approximately 340 km and around 5 hours.

On arrival in Bawiti, the capital of Bahariya Oasis, transfer to the hotel and have lunch. Then begin the desert adventure by 4×4, starting with the Black Desert and continuing to Gabal El Marsos (Divided Mountain) and the small Bedouin village of El Hez.

Continue toward the White Desert, with approximately 160 km of off-road driving described in the programme. Stops include Crystal Mountain and Agabat El Sharkia, with time to enjoy the desert scenery, sand dunes and sandboarding.

Enter the White Desert National Park area and continue among the white chalk formations sculpted by wind and sand. Stop at El Santa Tree before travelling deeper into the White Desert to see the cream-coloured landscape and wind-carved formations.

Day 5 – 2 August 2027: White Desert Solar Eclipse Experience & Bahariya Oasis

Wake early to enjoy sunrise over the White Desert and have breakfast at the camp. Afterwards, take a short hike among the rock formations and valleys before preparing for the day’s special astronomical experience.

Special Solar Eclipse Viewing Experience

A suitable viewing location will be selected in the desert for the 2 August 2027 solar eclipse, allowing guests to experience the changing light and atmosphere against the White Desert landscape. Time is also allowed for photography and observation.

Important safety requirement: certified solar-eclipse glasses or proper solar-viewing equipment must be used. Guests must never look directly at the Sun through regular sunglasses, cameras, binoculars or other optical devices without the appropriate solar filter or protection.

Transfer to the Cairo hotel and check in for the final night.
