Day 1 – 29 July 2027: Arrival in Cairo
Arrive at Cairo International Airport, where a Pure Nile Tours representative will meet and assist guests upon arrival. Transfer by private, air-conditioned vehicle to the confirmed Cairo hotel and complete check-in.
The remainder of the day is free for rest and leisure after the flight.

Day 2 – 30 July 2027: Giza Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum
After breakfast, meet the professional English-speaking Egyptologist guide and travel to the Giza Plateau. Explore the Great Pyramid of King Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure and the Great Sphinx, with time for photographs and panoramic views.
Continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum and explore its ancient Egyptian collections and galleries before returning to the hotel.

Day 3 – 31 July 2027: Old Cairo, Citadel & Khan El Khalili
Breakfast at the hotel, then begin the day in Old Cairo, exploring the historic district and its important religious and cultural landmarks.
Continue to the Citadel of Saladin and visit the Mohamed Ali Mosque. In the afternoon, head to Khan El Khalili Bazaar for time among the traditional shops, handicrafts, spices and souvenirs.

Day 4 – 1 August 2027: Cairo to Siwa Oasis, Temples, Salt Lakes & Fatnas Sunset

On arrival, check in at the confirmed Siwa hotel or eco-lodge and take time to refresh.
Continue with Siwa sightseeing, including the Amun Ra Temple and the Oracle Temple of Amun, historically associated with Alexander the Great. Visit Cleopatra Spring, with free time for swimming, then continue to the famous Siwa Salt Lakes for the floating experience.

Finish the day at Fatnas Island for sunset over the lake and palm groves, then return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 5 – 2 August 2027: Total Solar Eclipse Experience in Siwa Oasis
2 August 2027 is the astronomical highlight of the journey. After breakfast, transfer to the designated eclipse-viewing location in the Siwa region according to the final operational arrangements.
Siwa Oasis lies inside the path of totality. Current calculations for Siwa show the eclipse beginning at approximately 11:22 AM, maximum eclipse at about 12:45 PM, and the eclipse ending at approximately 2:08 PM. The reference duration of totality is approximately 5 minutes and 31 seconds.
These timings are location-based reference calculations. Final local contact times and totality duration will be checked again for the exact viewing coordinates selected for the group.
Solar Eclipse Viewing Safety
Certified solar-viewing glasses or another safe solar viewer must be used during the partial phases. Ordinary sunglasses are not safe for direct solar observation. Cameras, binoculars and telescopes require appropriate solar filters secured over the front of the optics.
During the brief phase of complete totality, when the Sun’s bright face is entirely covered, guests should follow the viewing team’s instructions regarding when eye protection may be removed and when it must be replaced.
After the eclipse, return to the hotel for rest and a free afternoon. The final quotation will confirm the post-eclipse meal arrangements.

Day 6 – 3 August 2027: Mountain of the Dead, Shali Old Town, Desert Safari & Siwan Dinner
After breakfast, begin the final full sightseeing day in Siwa with the Mountain of the Dead (Gebel Al-Mawta), where ancient tombs are carved into the mountain.
Continue to Shali Old Town / Shali Old Castle, the historic heart of Siwa, known for its traditional kershef architecture.
4×4 Desert Safari
Continue with an off-road 4×4 desert adventure through the dunes. The programme includes dune driving, sandboarding and, subject to weather and local conditions, a swimming stop at a freshwater cold lake.
Travel toward the high dunes for sunset and enjoy traditional Siwan tea in the desert.
Authentic Siwan Dinner Experience
